PHILOSOPHY:
The outdoor room we believe provides many things – a haven from the outside world, there to stimulate your senses through the interplay of colour, texture, structure, form and movement. A space for you to relax and enjoy your free time with family and friends, or a space you can visit to refresh for the afternoon’s business.

At Scenic Blue we offer Consultation, Concept Design, Construction Design, and Design Project Management through to Landscape Construction. We are able to provide a range of styles from Contemporary to Family, Formal to Courtyard, Tropical to Natural and anything in between. If it is not a whole design you are looking for and only an area of restfulness, then how about a unique water feature, secluded seating area or garden features to bring that certain twist into your space?

GARDEN CONSULTATION:
Upon your enquiry we shall arrange a time at your convenience to visit you to discuss what it is you are looking for. This will enable us to get a good feeling of your personal style, base requirements and enable us collectively to create a brief. If you should have any pictures, colour samples, textures this would help us get closer to the atmosphere and style you are looking for. We shall talk about some initial design concepts and materials, finishes and plant types. This meeting is an important one as it offers an opportunity for all to start the excitement of creating your new space.

There is no consultation fee for this meeting; however, we may require travel fees dependent upon your location within Sydney.

GARDEN DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION PROCESS

Step 1: CONCEPT DESIGN:

We shall come to your garden and spend time to establish a greater understanding of the space, its design potential, existing materials used and surrounding development. We shall also gain an insight into the sites dimensional evaluation, familiarization survey, site and soil conditions. Dependent on the area and the brief we may be required to engage a registered surveyor to support the design.

Step 2: COUNCIL DEVELOPMENT APPLICATION

Dependent on the agreed conceptual design, you may be required to gain respective DA approvals from council. We shall cost this at the time and undertake the process on your behalf.

Step 3: CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTATION:

Once the Conceptual Design is agreed we shall be able to provide you with a Construction budget. The detailing in these drawings are generated to allow for structural elements, dimensional footprint of design, drainage requirements, material specification, planting, lighting etc. The fees of the construction documents are based upon a percentage of the contract costing, council requirements etc and shall be discussed at the time.

Upon final completion of the Construction Documentation Package the final Construction Cost shall be prepared for the undertaking of your garden.

During construction we shall oversee the project to ensure the successful development of the design. This entails visiting your project at agreed times, to best ensure that the project is being constructed as per the design and that attention to detail is kept high. It is a perfect time for progress discussion along with any areas of query from parties in site enabling quick rectification.
